2025 Oyster Roast
March 29 4pm-7pm
Join us for our first annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser! Saturday, March 29 from 4pm-7pm at the Dining Hall. This year, all proceeds will benefit Holston Center’s Hurricane Helene Recovery.
Tickets are $35 each, and each ticket will be redeemed for 1 (ONE) peck of oysters. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance by March 22. You may purchase oyster tickets online HERE.
Chili, cornbread, sweet tea, and lemonade will also be available by donation.
Holston Helpers

Has your life been impacted by Holston Center? Are you looking for ways to give back and find fellowship at our favorite spot? Holston Helpers might be the perfect event for you, your community group, or your family! We need volunteers this year more than ever as we prepare for Summer Camp after Hurricane Helene. While most of our Main Camp area has been cleaned up by amazing volunteers, our rustic area, team building area, and many other sections of camp still need lots of help. We are also in need of a good “spring cleaning” in our cabins, and buildings.
Join us for fellowship, fun, and a good dose of hard work.
- Friday, May 9th, will focus on fellowship and connection! We will meet for a delicious dinner at 6:30pm, courtesy of Chef Caleb Chandler, followed by a special Holston-style devotion around the campfire.
- Saturday, May 10th, is when the work begins begins! Breakfast will be served at 8am. Work projects will begin around 9 am, lunch will be provided at 12pm, and work will wrap up around 4:30 pm. We have a wide range of projects from easy projects for all ages to advance-skilled projects.
Everyone is welcome! Holston Helpers will be a great retreat experience for youth groups, Sunday School classes, families, civic groups, college organizations, and individuals. Elementary, middle, and high school-aged youth are all welcome. We ask that a responsible adult is present to provide supervision on projects for anyone under the age of 16. There is no registration fee, however, donations will be accepted to help cover the costs for food and materials needed to complete the projects.
