Holston Camp & Retreat Center Overnight Camp Counselor and Staff Application 2025
Holston Summer Camp has been serving campers and families for over 60 years. We believe in the power of an outdoor, Christian learning environment. Holston is a place where people can come to feel loved, valued, heard, and accepted. Summer Camp provides stimulating activities that offer a daily opportunity for camper’s to step out of their comfort zone, and the chance to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Being a Summer Camp Counselor allows you to be working directly with the campers to ensure that they have a safe, fun, and enriching experience! Plus, you’ll get to lead some incredible adventures, like backpacking on the AT, canoeing down the New River, rock climbing, zip lining, singing, worshipping, crafting, and so much more!
2025 Summer Camp Dates
- May 25: Counselor Move In
- May 26-June 10 Counselor Training
- June 11-Aug 8 Camp Sessions
Counselors are provided with meals and dormitory style housing throughout their employment, but are required to sleep in cabins with campers & co-counselors as well as eat with their campers whenever campers are present. Counselors and staff are required to be at camp by 1pm on Sundays to get ready for the week, and may leave on Fridays at 6pm.
