Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Join us at the Martha Clemmer Memorial Dining Hall for our Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner. You may bring a side or a dessert to share. No RSVP needed, all are welcome at the table.
Holston Helpers
May 9-10, 2025
Were you ever a Holston Center camper? What are the memorable moments that stayed with you: learning to canoe on Wildcat Lake, zooming down the mountain slide, learning new songs around the campfire, making new friends, or building a deeper relationship with God? This list could go on and on. We need your help to make all of those experiences possible for young campers this summer.
Join us for fellowship, fun, and a good dose of hard work.
- Friday, May 9th, will focus on fellowship and connection! We will meet for a delicious dinner, courtesy of Chef Caleb Chandler, enjoy music while catching up with friends, and gather for a special Holston Center-style devotion.
- Saturday, May 10th, is when the work begins after a hearty breakfast, of course! With many volunteers spreading out around the camp, we now much will be accomplished. Work projects will begin around 9 am, lunch will be provided, and work will wrap up around 4:30 pm. We have a wide range of projects from easy projects for all ages to advance-skilled projects.
Everyone is welcome! Holston Helpers will be a great retreat experience for youth groups, Sunday School classes, families, civic groups, college organizations, and individuals. Elementary, middle, and high school-aged youth are all welcome. We ask that a parent or adult is present to provide supervision on projects for anyone under the age of 16. There is no registration fee, however, donations will be accepted to help cover the costs for food and materials needed to complete the projects.
Here are ways you can participate in our Holston Helpers Workday:
- Register January 1, 2025 for Holston Helpers.
- Underwrite the cost of a project. If you are not available to join us in person, please consider donating to help Holston Center purchase the needed materials.
Our Holston Helpers Workday is the perfect opportunity to visit the place that means so much to you and many others and to help prepare Holston Center to become that same meaningful beacon to our next generation of campers.
